Suspecting that Yeon Woo has done something to the sword, he tries to break it down but a giant black dragon opens up its fangs. The Lord is scared and couldn’t understand whether it was real or an illusion.
Other members who were perceiving this situation know that the Heavenly Demon Sword is made out of the bones and blood of a giant black dragon and this legendary sword chooses its own owner.

As Yeon Woo has revealed the Heavenly Demon Sword, Ma Ragyeom jumped at the opportunity to reveal that he’s not only the Great Guardian but also holds the will of the Heavenly Demon.
When he showed the golden plague and told everyone he is the guardian of the Heavenly Demon, everyone present in the hall bowed to the will in respect to the Heavenly Demon by chanting his name. The Lord couldn’t take this anymore and slur at Ma Ragyeom.
Ma Ragyeom went ahead to declare that Cheon Yeon Woo has completed the Heavenly Demon Test and obtained the Heavenly Demon Sword thus he is the next Heavenly Demon. This was the last step to convince all the people to go in favor of Cheon Yeon Woo.
Cheon Yeon Woo accepts the title and the will of the Heavenly Demon that is bestowed upon him. With this, he has solidified his position as the next leader of the Clan.
The Lord’s Delusions
Ma Ragyeom being the Great Guardian has always been on side of the Lord. He had doubts about the Lord since the discovery of the Secret Treasury under the Academy grounds. He noticed that there were several changes in the attitude of the Lord.
The Lord was cruel but never ungrateful to the sect. With everything happening to him, Ma Ragyeom concludes that it’s not a change he is going through but rather he is talking to someone all the time.
Ma Ragyeom also found out that the person he talked to was Cheon Wu Jing. He elaborated on all his findings to Cheon Yeon Woo and Elder Hwa when they met on the mountaintop before.
Cheon Wu Jin was killed by the Lord 15 years ago. When the Supreme Demon Leader left 15 years ago, Hang Yun invaded the territory of the Demon Sect and began a war. It came to an end when Cheon Wu Jin was killed in this war.
After the restoration of the Zhijiang Province, after all these years, Ma Ragyeom noticed the Lord speaking while looking at a dark place or an empty wall. He was skeptical at first but it didn’t take long for him to understand what was going on.
The Lord used to listen and talk to his delusion slowly and most people couldn’t realize but this time when he was enraged, he shouted at an empty space behind his throne. This made the Elders question him as there was no one present.
Even the Great Guardian bowed down to say that there was no one present but the Lord wasn’t buying any of it. He came to the conclusion that all of them wanted to frame him as a crazy person.
