S3 of Virgin River in 2021, Two Added to Cast
We have not seen the last of the town of Virgin River yet. Netflix recently announced that the romantic comedy series would have a third season, which will drop sometime in 2021. The second season of the show premiered on November 27th, 2020, and ended in a wild cliffhanger that shocked many fans. The third season will address that and a whole lot of other developments that took place in the second season.
The show is based on Robyn Carr’s romantic novel series of the same name. It follows Melinda ‘Mel’ Monroe, a midwife and a nurse, who moves to the remote town of Virgin River to start afresh after her husband’s death.
Apart from the renewal, Netflix also revealed that two actors are joining the cast in the new season. Zibby Allen, who was seen in The CW series, The Flash, has been cast as Jack’s sister, Brie. She is a ‘smart, hard-charging, ballsy’ lawyer, according to the official description, who will turn out to be ‘a whole lot of fun.’
Stacey Farber of Degrassi: The Next Generation will play the recurring character of Tara Anderson, Lily’s daughter, who will help her mother raise Chloe while her three siblings are living away from home.
Virgin River stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Colin Lawrence, Lauren Hammersley, Annette O’Toole, Tim Matheson, Grayson Gurnsey and Sarah Dugdale.
