Season 2 of ‘BIRDIE WING’ Delayed to April 2023
BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story is one of the few golf anime and the only one with female protagonists.
Since it is an original sports anime, it was a surprise to many otakus, but Bandai Namco came through as a producer, and we received a cute romance between Aoi and Eve.
Of course, it hasn’t been declared as a yuri anime outright, but some of the scenes between the protagonists scream otherwise. They somehow even put in an underground golf mafia subplot.
Season 2 of BIRDIE WING -Golf Girls’ Story was supposed to be released in January 2023 but got postponed to April 2023. The reason behind the delay hasn’t been clearly stated except that “various circumstances” led to this conclusion.
A new trailer for season 2 is also out on Bandai Namco’s YouTube channel, giving us glimpses of the upcoming episodes.
The carefully selected teams for the anime shine even in this teaser. Eve and Aoi’s partnership, of course, takes the spotlight. After watching how they connect, you cannot tell me that it isn’t a yuri series.
‘Birdie Wing’ Season 2: Latest Updates Confirms January 2023 Release
If they decide to announce that Eve and Aoi are long-lost sisters in season 2, I’m pretty sure half the fans will be mad about it. Let’s hope that Bandai Namco is above such a stupid trick.
It looks like season 2 of BIRDIE WINGS will give us Eve’s backstory. Her “I came to play for money” attitude has been fun and infectious, and I hope she doesn’t change.
