After a tedious one-month wait, the new chapter is out. And boy oh boy is it amazing! Reading the current chapter has hyped us up so much for One Piece Chapter 1055.
The current chapter is truly a culmination of all the things Oda sensei has achieved in the last 2 decades.
Did you know that it has been 25 years since the release of One Piece in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine? Yes! On July 19, 1997, the series came out for the first time ever.
And now, we have begun the race towards the end.
The latest chapter has brought up so many new things which have taken the fandom by storm. One of the greatest news is the fact that Sabo is still thriving; in fact, he is doing exceptionally well.
We hope that One Piece 1055 gives us a glimpse of what he plans to do next.
Shanks and Luffy: Chapter 1055 Theory
The manga literally started with Luffy and Shanks. The iconic moment where Shanks saved Luffy, followed by him passing on the trademark Straw Hat to the kid.
It was a promise between two men – one day, when Luffy has become a great pirate, he will return the hat to Shanks.
Needless to say, Luffy is a great pirate now. He is the infamous Mugiwara no Luffy, the newest Emperor of the Seas. He is literally the one with the same title as Shanks himself.
Maybe it is finally time for him to return the Strawhat?
We see that Shanks’ crew, that is, the Red Hair Pirates are very willing to meet Luffy. It is hard for them to believe that the newest Yonko used to chill with this crew in a bar.
After all, the original Red Hair Pirates and Luffy have a special bond.
However, from the looks of it, Shanks has no intention of meeting the kid right now. He still wants to wait. Shanks is aware that their destined meeting is near but maybe it is just a little while down the road. Hence, he chooses to wait and focus elsewhere.
The race to the One Piece
We must remember that Shanks never got to the One Piece. Buggy became ill, and Shanks stayed back to take care of him. So it is time for Shanks to go to Laugh Tale and get the One Piece for himself. He has waited long enough.
We see in this chapter, sitting next to Ben Beckman, Shanks chooses to join the race for the One Piece.
We know that other than him and Luffy, the biggest contender towards this is Blackbeard himself and we all know him to be incredibly dangerous.
One Piece Chapter 1055 will probably choose to show Shanks traveling away to handle Barto and then take steps towards getting the One Piece.
The question is, does he have to get the Poneglyphs or does he know about its location since Roger went there in the past? We will find out.
