From Howl’s Moving Castle to Grave of the Fireflies, the studio has brought out the hopeless romantics in us as well as made us lament the evils of humanity. For the first time now, Ghibli is broadening its horizon to the world.
GKIDS is the American distributor of anime films created by Studio Ghibli. It focuses on “sophisticated, indie animation.”
In the wake of GKIDS’ contract extension with the acclaimed studio, it has launched global social media accounts for Studio Ghibli.

Erica Chon, the Director of Marketing of GKIDS, is of the opinion that the official social media accounts are a natural step to keep pace with the studio’s North American partners.
It will also build a community for all Ghibli fans and provide them a place to stay up-to-date.
Now that Ghibli has these new accounts, fans don’t have to rely on obscure details for news about the Studio’s next steps.
New product releases, events, film details, and other information will be directly posted on the sites from now on. GKIDS will be managing all the accounts.
The illustrious studio is releasing its first CG anime film, Earwig and the Witch, on 3rd February.

It will be streamed on HBO Max on 5th February. HBO Max has the exclusive streaming rights to all Ghibli film due to a contract with GKIDS.
