The upcoming smartphone game provides you with 21 perspectives, stories, emotions, and skills.

These characters are divided into three categories: the Jerle Federation, the Gildllan Empire, and the Adventurers, who belong to neither of those kingdoms or their armies.

The wait for this thrilling game is almost over, as the release date is not even a week away.

The Tales franchise’s latest smartphone game, Tales of Luminaria, will launch on November 4, 2021. The game will be available on both iOS and Android worldwide.

The entire story revolves around the Primordial Beasts, who are said to be as big as mountains but are now petrified. With such enormous power of the beasts, three ideologies emerged from humankind.

One group feared and worshipped the beats and became the Jerle Federation. The other group exploited the vast mana reserves of the beasts to create advanced technology and came to be known as the Gildllan Empire.

Lastly, the third ideology termed themselves as Adventurers belonging to neither of the governments or their armies.

This group of people is more interested in studying and finding out more about the Primordial Beasts instead of using or worshipping them.

Soon, a war broke out between the two kingdoms who went all out, resulting in mass destruction.

The game brings together and carefully weaves a story connecting the Federation’s knights, the Empire’s Imperial Soldiers, and the Adventurers who belong to none.

The gameplay allows the player to pick three of the 21 main characters and take them to the war to fight. All of them are unique and have a well-fabricated backstory which makes it challenging to pick and choose.

Moreover, the game’s vast skill set and prowess don’t help in the dilemma either, and I am not sure how I will ever be able to choose just three of them.

The game also has an upcoming anime adaptation called Tales of Luminaria the Fateful Crossroad that indicates how each character is interconnected. The anime will be streamed globally by Funimation.

I am super excited for both, and I cannot wait to see what surprises the franchise has in store for us.

About Tales Franchise

The Tales series is a franchise of fantasy role-playing video games published by Bandai Namco Entertainment (formerly Namco), and developed by its subsidiary, Namco Tales Studio, until 2011 and presently by Bandai Namco Studios. First begun in 1995 with the development and release of Tales of Phantasia for the Super Famicom.

While entries in the series generally stand independent of each other with different characters and stories, they are commonly linked by their gameplay, themes, and high fantasy settings. The series is characterized by its art style, which draws from Japanese manga and anime, and its action-based fighting system called the “Linear Motion Battle System”.

The series has several anime adaptations like Symphonia, Abyss, Phantasia, Eternia, Vesperia, Zestria, and the upcoming Luminaria.
