In the previous episode of The Misfit of Demon Academy- we saw that both Anos and Lay win in their own battles. And when there is a battle between Anos and Lay, notices that something is wrong.

This is when Anos sensed something magical. Later, Lay tells Anos that he will kill him, no matter what. Anos managed to win the battle which was quite obvious.

And after that, Anos and his mother went to meet Lay’s adoptive mother. Lay’s mother revealed that the Royals are controlling Lay. Furthermore, Anos fights with Emilia and defeats her which was also quite obvious. At the end of the episode, Anos transports Emilia into a world where she is forced to admit he is the Demon King.
