Wonder Woman 1984 Gets a Blazing New Trailer
A new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer is here!
At DC FanDome, stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, and Pedro Pascal, along with WW84 director Patty Jenkins unveiled a second trailer for the next Wonder Woman movie.
The blazing new trailer gave us our first look at Kristen Wiig as the Cheetah and revealed more about Pedro Pascal’s Max Lord.
1. When is WW84 Premiering?
Wonder Woman 1984 is set for an October 2, 2020 release in theaters, hopefully, if they are opened by then.
2. A Blazing New Trailer
As the name suggests, the film is set in the 1980s. The trailer is packed with truly stunning action scenes and special effects that promise a visual delight for Wonder Woman fans.
It is not just the glimpse of Diana’s confrontation with the Cheetah, but the trailer as a whole itself is attention-grabbing.
Meanwhile, Pascal’s Maxwell remains enigmatic while there is also a lot more of Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor.
No, we are still not told how he is alive and young after dying towards the end of World War I in the original film. Director Jenkins had earlier promised the explanation will make sense.
The Gal Gadot superheroine was first introduced in 2016’s Batman v Superman, before getting her solo film the following year. Wonder Woman was a huge critical and commercial success soon after its release.
3. What’s the Plot?
The latest trailer of Wonder Woman 1984 is an amalgamation of a rekindled romance, power-packed action sequences and a closer look at the villain.
Gal Gadot”s character returns to the 1980s where everything seems to be ideal, but only till the emergence of Barbara Minerva played by Kristen Wigg as she envies Diana strongly.
Maxwell Lord (Pedro Pascal) is heard saying that he can make anyone’s dream come true and for Diana, it means the reunion with the love of her life, Steve Trevor played by Chris Pine.
However, for Barbara having everything Diana has is the only priority and she can only get it all by making a deal to become a villain known as Cheetah.
What then begins is a battle between the two and the action scenes in the trailer are jaw-dropping to say the least.
4. About Wonder Woman
Princess Diana, aka Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) of an all-female Amazonian race rescues US pilot Steve. Upon learning of a war, she ventures into the world of men to stop Ares, the god of war, from destroying mankind.
