Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens: Manga Adaptation Release In September

Yu-Gi-Oh! introduced a whole new concept of dueling, and fans of the series readily accepted it. It is one of the classics in the world of manga and anime and has been adapted into various sequels and spinoffs.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens is the seventh spinoff anime series of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise.

The protagonist of this spinoff is Yuuga Oudou, a fifth-grader. He is the first elementary school student hero of the series and introduces a whole new style of dueling called “Rush Duel.”

The official website of the V Jump magazine announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens will receive a new manga adaptation starting 19th September.

The title of the new manga is Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens: Rook! Legend of Exploding Military Rule!!

The manga will be written by Masahiro Hikokubo and illustrated by Tasuku Sugie. Masashi Hikokubo has previously written the Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D’s manga.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens anime has received another manga adaptation called My Road Academy. It was released on 4th August in the Saikyo Jump magazine.

It is a comedy spinoff that is authored and illustrated by Megumi Sasaki.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens anime started airing on 2nd April in Japan,but after episode 5 it was delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Episodes 6-9 were broadcasted in June and then went on another break. The anime resumed on 8th August.

As the name of the manga suggests, Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens: Rook! Legend of Exploding Military Rule!! will mainly focus on the character Rook/Luke, who is a classmate of Yuuga Oudou.

Luke is the self-proclaimed best duelist at the Goha 7th Elementary.

He is extremely self-confident and can briefly stop machinery from working just by touching it. Luke met Yuuga when he was formulating the “Rush Duel” plan.
