Yashahime Season 2’s Blazing Hot Trailer Reveals Setsuna’s Revival

Riding on the hot nostalgia trip of Inuyasha, the second season of the sequel Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon is officially confirmed to debut on October 2, 2021.

Viz Media, the distributor of the series, has released a full trailer and key visuals depicting both the old and new characters of the series.

The action-packed trailer has a similar vibe to the classic series with its 90s art style. Moreover, since it’s Inuyasha, the trailer shows loads of fan-favorite characters from Sesshōmaru to Kagome Higurashi. Still, it’s not all retro, as new characters and themes make their headway in the sequel.

The trailer also glimpsed at the upcoming story, specifically the reincarnation of Sesshōmaru’s daughter Setsuna, who fell to Kirinmaru’s blade in the last season.

It also shows Towa and Moroha holding off an onslaught of demons. If the trailer is anything to go by, then the action choreography of the second season looks rad as hell.

The video also features Rion, one of Kirinmaru’s daughters. She will be voiced by Saki Fujita, known for voicing Ymir in Attack on Titan. Additionally, idol group NEWS will be performing the theme song.

The first season saw our trio of siblings Setsuna, Towa, and Moroha fighting Kirinmaru, the series’s antagonist bent on distorting time and space. But even after manifesting their demonic powers, our half-demon heroes could not stop Kirinmaru, costing them Setsuna’s life.

Nevertheless, it seems like Setsuna could probably make a comeback in some form if the trailer is to be trusted.
