The spring 2023 anime Jigokuraku was a huge hit with viewers. The novel’s plot was original, and it held our attention throughout. While we all agreed that the first season was fantastic, we weren’t sure if the anime would be renewed for a second season.
Season 2 generated almost no buzz on social media. Fans were pleasantly pleased, then, when a second season was announced right after the first one ended.
Find out everything you need to know about Jigokuraku season 2 right here.
Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku, the anime based on the manga by Yūji Kaku, has been renewed for a second season. In addition to the news, a promotional film was also unveiled.
The promotional film concludes with a shot of Yamada Asaemon Shugen, after which it summarizes the important events of Season 1. In the final frame, Gabimaru and Saigiri can be seen peering into the depths of what looks like a cave.
The anime is being directed by Kaori Makita, and the music is being composed by Akira Kindaichi. The character designs will be done by Koji Hisaki, while the soundtrack will be written by Yoshiaki Dewa.
In the season one finale, Shion defeats Mu Dan with a single blow. Also, the mythical “Elixir of Immortality” was debunked.
Concerns have been raised since the village leader of Gabimaru was believed to be immortal. Yuzuriha appears and claims that the village head and Gabimaru’s wife do not exist outside of his imagination.
However, Gabimaru has forgotten a lot of things since he relies on Tao too much. At this crossroads, the season is likely to ramp up as the inmates decide whether or not to continue their exploration.
This anime boasts some of the strongest world-building and does a good job of making its characters stand out from the crowd. It’s something exciting and interesting to keep an eye out for.
