Loosely based on the original Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, it is set in a dystopian world where high school student Ryohei Arisu and his friends are stuck in a parallel world where they have to compete in dangerous games to survive.

Netflix dropped the trailer for the highly anticipated series along with the release date. This Netflix Original Series is set to release on December 10th.

The trailer begins with Ryohei and his friends hiding from the police after they were caught goofing around in the Shibuya scramble crossing.

Hiding from the cops, they suddenly realize that they have been transported to a deserted Shibuya.

The trailer continues to show scenes where the trio gets pit against each other in order to survive making the whole series quite an anticipating watch.

Netflix also debuted two key visuals. In the first one, it shows the 12 main cast members including Kento Yamazaki as Alice and Tao Tsuchiya as Rabbit, Nijiro Murakami as Chishiya, Yuki Morinaga as Chota, and Keita Machida as Calve assembled.

The original manga was serialized in Shogakukan’s Shonen Sunday S magazine in 2010 till 2015. The series moved to Weekly Shōnen Sunday as it entered its final story arc in April 2015 and ended in March 2016.

About Alice in Borderland

Ryōhei Arisu, a male high school student is done with his everyday life. He and his two friends meet up and hang out in the town. However, After one blindingly bright explosion, they find themselves waking up in a different world.

 Finding themselves in a different deserted world, the trio is forced to participate in survival games or die right off the bat. The three fight to live, as well as to find a way back to their own world
