The ‘Drifting Home’ anime film will be released in Japanese theaters on September 16, 2022. Netflix will also stream the movie worldwide on the same day.

Recently, the theme song for the film, ‘It Seems I’m Fading Away,’ by ZUTOMAYO was revealed, and it has been previewed in the latest trailer:

The music video shows the lives of Kosuke and Natsume, who are childhood friends. It shows how they drifted apart as they joined other schools. They will be reunited once again in an abandoned building where they both used to play.

You can clearly see the old building that is floating around in a depthless waterbody. It’s a serene video that will give you a glimpse into the movie.

A new visual has also been revealed, and it shows Kosuke and Natsume hanging out together in an abandoned building:

About Drifting Home

It is the third feature-length anime film from Studio Colorido, known for “A Whisker Away” and “Penguin Highway.”

The story begins one summer day when Kosuke and his friends visit an apartment building set to be demolished and suddenly get caught in a strange phenomenon. After they open their eyes, they find themselves surrounded by an open sea, forcing the group of friends must somehow find their way home.
