Cowboy Bebop Live-action Movie Stars Tease The Premiere Date

Cowboy Bebop is an extremely popular anime which deals with a wide variety of genres ranging from science fiction to noir films. Its thematic focus on loneliness, existential crisis, and alienation resonated with a generation dealing with such issues. 

 

It became one of the most coveted successes and critically acclaimed anime titles of all time. That’s why many are extremely excited to watch the new Cowboy Bebop Live-action TV series that’s premiering in 2021.

The Cowboy Bebop Live-action series is produced by a partnership of Tomorrow Studios, Sunrise Inc., and Marty Adelstein. Luckily, even the streaming platform Netflix has made plans to add the series to its list of curated shows.

There have been many unforeseen delays due to the pandemic and John Cho’s knee injury, due to which the shooting stopped. However, on a fortunate note, some cast members hinted, very subtly, at the release date of the Cowboy Bebop Live-action TV series.

Release Date of Cowboy Bebop Live-action TV Series Coming Soon?

The cast members of the show John Cho, Daniella Pineda, and Mustafa Shakir appeared on Netflix’s Geetked Weekend. The video was quite interesting and humorous, with the trio jamming to Yoko Kanno’s theme song Tank

The fact that Yoko Kanno, the legendary composer who produced the soundtrack for the original anime, is great news. It’s definitely something to look forward to with open arms. 

 

At the end of the video, they dropped the exciting news that the Cowboy Bebop Live adaptation will be premiering this Fall on Netflix. Unfortunately, they haven’t chosen the specific release date. 

Plot of Cowboy Bebop Live Adaptation

Written by the acclaimed comic book writer Christopher Yost, the series will follow the basic plot structure of the anime. However, it’s not clear if they’ll be taking some creative liberties with the adaptation. The shooting of the series got completed by March 2021.

 

The plot will essentially center around the adventures of some peculiar bounty hunters who hunt for criminals in return for rewards. The world of Cowboy Bebop is set in 2071. The future is the dystopian landscape where humans have colonized other planets after some horrific accident.
