Last year, we got our hearts broken when the anime was postponed from its Fall 2021 premiere. But the good that came out of it was that the hype from manga readers made even anime-only weebs anticipate the premiere.

As expected, the anime streaming giant Crunchyroll has acquired worldwide streaming rights for Chainsaw Man and announced so with a melancholic trailer. The anime is slated to make a debut this year.

Crunchyroll has revealed that it will be broadcasting the anime on its platform in various dubbed and subtitled languages, including English, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, and more.

The trailer starts with Denji as a kid in a dark alley and a pool of blood approaching his footsteps. It then shows Denji, Aki, and Power laughing and having fun as a mellow tune plays in the background.

A static noise makes the happy moments disappear as the devils start to creep in, and a menacing vibe takes over. The video’s energy goes from 0 to 100 in a split second, and some badass fight sequences are teased.

The entire staff lineup for the anime includes people who have worked on gems like Jujutsu Kaisen, Black Clover, A Silent Voice, Vinland Saga, etc. We’re indeed going to cry a lot, but at least it will be over some kickass animation.

Oh, and by the way, I strongly advise you not to check the manga’s Wikipedia page. Just don’t.
