As an anime fan outside of Japan, Crunchyroll is like a boon to me, and I am sure many of you will also agree.

In just 15 years, Crunchyroll has amassed a vast catalog that can satisfy every anime fan.Not to mention their fantastic Crunchyroll Originals. The God of High School was a winner, and you can’t convince me otherwise.
Thus, it comes as no surprise that Crunchyroll has surpassed the five million subscriber mark. A bounteous number of 120 million registered users worldwide is also confirmed.
What is surprising is the whirlwind of subscribers that the website has received in the past year alone.
Just a year ago, Crunchyroll celebrated receiving three million subscribers. In just one year, the brand has gotten two million subscribers!
The pandemic-driven society and its needs have certainly changed in the past year as people have accepted streaming websites as an alternative for the theatre experience.
Regardless, Crunchyroll’s own relentless search for discovering new anime and bringing it to their audience has given a significant boost to the global brand.

Last year alone, seven Crunchyroll Originals were produced! Two Originals have already confirmed their 2021 release, and many others are lined up. I admit I have high hopes for Fena: The Pirate Princess in particular. (We just don’t have that many female pirate badasses, ok!)
The Crunchyroll Expo is gearing up for a live stream from 5th to 7th, and a myriad of creators, producers, and fans are all joining in for the event.
From exclusive content reveals to fun-filled cast interviews, a truckload of entertainment will be pitched at you.
