To all those wondering if there will be a Dr. Stone Season 3 anytime soon, then we have good news for you all. The expected release date and the cast of the anime are out and available to read now.
Dr. Stone is a very unique and popular anime that has a manga adaptation of the same name.
Dr. Stone is unique as it mostly emphasizes the fact of knowledge being the true power. It also highlights that the growth of Science makes every individual, weak or strong, equal and worthy to the society in the modern world.
The anime has quite good ratings, i.e. 8.31 as per MyAnimeList and 8.2 as per IMDb. Its sequel Dr. Stone: Stone Wars also has a very good rating of 8.2 as per MyAnimeList, which increases the chances of us having a Dr. Stone S3.
We expect the announcement to be made soon, but before we get started with the release date, let’s take some time and take a look at the last two season and why we the anime deserves a third season.

Why Dr. Stone Season 3?
Senkuu’s dream to re-build the modern civilization has yet a long way to go to see the face of success. With Senkuu’s bold decisions, that dream is not impossible.
We are yet to observe the whole journey of the Kingdom of Science to the very end where probably Senkuu fulfills his dream and saves all of mankind but there are more hurdles to arrive.
Senkuu is also to discover many more hints left behind by Byakuya Ishigami and know the reason behind the petrification of all mankind.
Moreover, to resurrect Tsukasa, the hunt for the reason behind the petrification becomes the main concern. Can Senkuu really resurrect Tsukasa?
We are also to observe whether Hyoga and Homura, who are currently under captivation, will pose a threat to the Kingdom of Science or not.
Last but not the least, will we finally get to see Taiju confessing his true feelings to Yuzuriha? Speaking of feelings, will Chrome and Ruri find their ways to get closer to each other?
There are many more mysteries left to be unleashed which makes the chances of the arrival of Dr. Stone Season 3 abundant.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Release Date
There have been no official announcements regarding the release date of the third season yet.
Analyzing the release dates of the first two seasons, we expect Dr. Stone Season 3 to release and start streaming around May 2022.
The first two seasons of Dr. Stone’s anime covered 82 manga chapters in total, thus Dr. Stone Season 3 will cover source material from chapter 83.
There are enough materials for Dr. Stone’s third season as the manga currently has over 200 chapters published, which highlights the fact that there are approximately 120 more chapters to be covered.
We expect the producers to be TOHO animation and Shueisha, licensors to be Funimation and Crunchyroll, and the studio to be TMS Entertainment.
My Hero Academia Season 6 and Bleach Season 17 are supposed to return soon with a new season of their own as well.

Dr. Stone is written by Yuichiro Kido and directed by Shinya Iino. The produces are TOHO animation and Shueisha with the licensors being Funimation and Crunchyroll and the studio being TMS Entertainment.
The manga was written by Riichiro Inagaki and published by Shueisha.
Dr. Stone Season 1 has 24 episodes that aired from 5th July to 13th December and Dr. Stone season 2 consists of 11 episodes that aired between 14th January and 25th March.
The story is based on an incident that took place 3700 years ago from the time the anime is set. A strange light devoured the whole world leading to the petrification of every single human, including swallows.
After discovering the solution to his de-petrification, Senkuu Ishigami, an intelligent worshipper of science awakens his friend Taiju Ooki who discovers the complete shattering of the modern civilization into the Stone Age.
Senkuu makes a decision to re-build the modern civilization from scratch with the help of science.
The story continues with Senkuu being forced to de-petrify Tsukasa, who turns out to have a different ideology from Senkuu and becomes his enemy.
Dr. Stone Season 1 and Dr. Stone Season 2 focus mostly on the war between the Kingdom of Science led by Senkuu and the Tsukasa Empire and we are left waiting for Season 3.
Dr. Stone Season 3 Storyline

Dr. Stone (Zoku-hen) or Dr. Stone Season 3 is going, to begin with, the ‘Source of the Petrification Saga’ where Senkuu and his mates set off for a journey to the source of the Petrification to find a way to revive Tsukasa.
We might also observe the formation of modern civilization with the help of science more elaborately in Dr. Stone S3 anime.
Yuzuriha and Taiju’s hard work of mending the destroyed statues might lead to the presence of more modern people in the Stone World.
We will also notice the encounter of the Kingdom of Science with a new and probably the toughest enemy Stanley Snyder in Dr. Stone Season 3 who might pose a greater challenge to team Senkuu since Stanley is believed to be as genius as Senkuu himself.
