Horimiya Anime just dropped last week and fans are excited over Horimiya Episode 2 as it was the biggest opening for any romantic comedy anime of all time. Well everyone who likes this genre or just starting to watch should give it a try as anime is looking promising and might end up on your favorite list.

Episode 1 reveals that Miyamura Kun is a gloomy kid in school and his classmates think of him as a complete otaku. Their perception of Hori san is also different as they think that she has a boyfriend and leaves early all the time.

The other characters are also portrayed good and the storytelling is great but for manga readers, the anime might seem a little bit rushed but at least we are getting a full anime adaptation this time.

Horimiya Episode 1, introduces the main characters with some side characters. Both main characters Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura lead dual personalities as they pretend in school and they are in real life.

Hori san is a pretty girl and very famous among the students while Miyamura Kun is a completely different person. He is kind of gloomy and his classmates think of him as a complete otaku who can’t get hold of the outside world.

But after school Hori san a caring sister and daughter who helps her mom in daily household works and takes care of his little brother. While Miyamura Kun is one of those cool studs with many piercings and tattoos on his arm and his back.

Miyamura Kun saves Hori’s little brother from a dog but he got scratched so Miyamura takes him to his home but Hori does not recognize him as he is a completely different person in school but after he introduces himself she gets pretty much shocked that how can he be the same guy.

After this Miyamura often visits Hori’s home and helps her with different tasks. The other students also notice them gossiping and that seems unusual to them for a guy like Miyamura.

Toru who is a classmate of Hori and Miyamura has a secret crush on Hori and seeing them together asks Miyamura are they dating? To this Miyamura replies with a no and suggests him to ask Hori directly as he can’t say anything of him. He says that he thinks Hori san is just being nice to him after he helped her, that’s it.

Toru confesses and asks Hori out but she declines and gets really angry at Miyamura as he said mean things about Hori. After that Miyamura assumes that Hori will say that he should stop coming to their home but she says the complete opposite and gives really witty reasons. That was pretty fun to watch.

The overall episode was pretty great. The mixture of school romance and comedy was portrayed really nicely. If you liked My romantic teen comedy SNAFU and similar series then this show is a must-watch for you. For more moments we will have to wait for Horimiya Episode 2.
