Official Statements From Horikoshi

Horikoshi, the author of My Hero Academia stated at the end of last year in December 2021 at a jump fiesta saying that he would like to conclude the manga in one year.

However, he also said that the ending in one year would only be possible if things go smoothly and if they don’t, he would have to extend the timeline.

However, we have recently come to know that the author changed his mind. He left a message in the shonen jump saying that he is going to reconsider the end.

This may be due to the pacing issues that we have faced with the manga. The series felt rushed and we did not get to explore a few arcs like ” Tartarus Escapees Arc”.

Some sources argue that this change is mostly due to pressure from the fans he received who were not satisfied with how things were looking.

We do not know why Horikoshi changed his mind, but most probably My Hero Academia won’t be ending this year.

Possible Ending?

Considering how things are looking right now, My Hero Academia will be dragged out a little bit and maybe end in February. If the series encounters path blocks then it can take another year to get to the ending.

We also need to consider the break, but there is a lot of confusion surrounding it. There is a talk recently saying that My Hero Academia will be on break after Issue 46 and will resume with 47 as scheduled.

However, multiple fans have pointed out that there was no such notice at the end of the chapter. As it stands now things are unclear, but we will get updated soon enough.
