The 26th issue of Young Jump has announced on 27 May (Thursday) that the Kaguya-sama: Love is War manga will go on yet another hiatus. This is so that Akasaka can take time to write the manga’s new act.

The manga however, is set to return on 31 July 2021. The manga will head towards its final arc and is expected to be concluded very soon. Akasaka had written : “From now on the story enters the final phase”.

Although hiatuses have been littered through the fandom, the fans are not kept hungry. Despite the many and well deserved breaks, Funimation has confirmed the third season of the anime. It is expected to be released later this year. A special OVA was also released on 19 May 2021.

There is an anime adaptation that premiered in January 2019 and April 2020 (Winter 2019, Spring 2020). Funimation has made dubbed versions of both seasons available. The series was made available on Crunchyroll, Hulu and FunimationNow. There is also a Blu-ray disc of the anime. It was released in February.
