Kakushigoto reveals release date for feature film in a brand-new trailer

Kakushigoto: My Dad’s Secret Ambition” was released in the past year as a single season, thus encompassing a story that quickly became not only one of the best slice-of-life shows of the year, but also one of the best productions as such . Thus, many were left wanting more content about this story, and now we discover that this will be granted to us – to a certain extent – thanks to its adaptation as a feature film.

Here is the teaser trailer through which we have been able to know the latest news about “Kakushigoto”:

Thus, as has been released, the “Kakushigoto” movie, which will mostly collect what is seen in the anime, will be released on July 9, 2021 in theatres in Japan. However, it should be noted that the film will include a key detail for the whole story: its conclusion.

During the original broadcast of the weekly anime of “Kakushigoto”, which aired from April to June 2020, we found that Kōji Kumeta’s manga was in its last parts, to the point that it ended as such during July 2020. Consequently, the weekly anime was not in time to close its story, which ended up leading to a story that, although very remarkable, lacked a real ending for its characters.

Finally, we will point out that we should not rule out that the film included some additional material in addition to the very ending of “Kakushigoto”, although at the moment this is something unspecified. Similarly, there is no mention of a Western release being planned.

Synopsis:

Kakushi Gotou is a single father with a secret: He’s a top-selling manga artist of a raunchy series that perhaps isn’t suitable reading material for his young daughter, Hime. So he does what any doting father would do — he hides it all from her, no matter the hijinks that ensue!
