Lycoris Recoil’s Latest Trailer Reveals the Other Side of its Cute Baristas
Remember when the cafe in Lycoris Recoil said that they serve amazing coffee and the solution to any kind of problem? Well, I’m here to confirm that they weren’t kidding.
With cheerful and lively cafe workers, LycoReco cafe gets you lip-smacking sweets and finely brewed coffee with a side order of solving problems ranging from love life to fighting monsters.
Turns out, LycoReco is actually a front for the crime-fighting organization called DA – Direct Attack, and the baristas are highly skilled agents called ‘Lycoris.’ DA is responsible for keeping life peaceful and does so with the help of its elite all-girls squad.
After knowing this, I’m even more pumped up for the premiere on July 2, 2022.
Lycoris Recoil’s latest trailer is unlike any of its previous ones. It is a fully action-packed video that previews how the DA works. What’s more is that Chisato, the bubbly extrovert who can brighten up anyone’s day, is the strongest Lycoris of all time.
Just like Chisato, Takina and Mizuki are also Lycoris who work at the cafe. Takina used to be an exceptional agent, while Mizuki used to work as a DA Intelligence Division member.
LycoReco cafe, which incorporates various traditional Japanese aspects, serves as a meeting place for clients seeking Lycoris’ help. So, the cafe serves them and their needs, no matter what it is.
Moreover, Kurumi seems unaware of DA’s existence as she is a runaway who works at the cafe in exchange for residence. Meanwhile, the manager Mika takes on private requests that the DA doesn’t. So, my theory is that Kurumi is also related to DA, like maybe she is an alien or a human experiment.

The anime will be out tomorrow, and I don’t think any of you would want to miss out on it.
