Yes! The former Sound Schedule member is now focusing on a career around anime creation. We can assume that he developed an interest in anime production during his career as a singer for anime theme songs.

Masayoshi Oishi posted a tweet on 8th February, which contained the announcement of him creating an original anime. According to the tweet, he is also the anime’s producer. A visual for the project was also released.

The visual shows a person standing in a factory in ruins and looking towards a city full of skyscrapers. The smaller buildings seem to be of Japanese style, while the bigger buildings look futuristic.

Holograms of a dragon and a tiger seem to be emerging from the skyscrapers. The theme of the anime seems vague, and we await further details about the plot.

The tweet contains the message, “I’m making an anime that was originally drafted and produced. For details, sleep and wait.”

The format of the anime has not been revealed. Is it an anime series, an OVA, a movie, or a music video? No matter what it is, we can only wait in patience, as directed by Oishi himself. It is the first time that Oishi is involved in the production procedures and creation of an anime.
