Megalo Box is the futuristic adaptation of the iconic boxing manga Ashita no Joe. It was created to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the classic series, and needless to say, Megalo Box has reached a popular standing.

The Megalo Box anime has managed to deliver an exceptional story even though it bears the burden of Ashita no Joe’s legacy.

The high-tech gears used in the boxing matches have sparked interest among fans. With visually stunning fights, the series had made a remarkable debut in 2018.

Megalo Box 2: Nomad is the title of the second season of this famous boxing anime. A new teaser trailer has also been revealed for the upcoming season. Megalo Box 2 will premiere in April 2021.

The trailer previews the plot of the upcoming season. As you may have noticed, the next series will be about Nomad, not Joe. So who is this Nomad?

Joe became a champion of the Megalonia tournament in just three months. He was given the name “Gearless Joe.” But the champion suddenly disappeared from the boxing ring.

Seven years later, Joe is seen in the ring again, but his name is now “Nomad.” His body is heavily wounded and has more gears fitted all together. Why did he disappear, and what caused him to come back again?

You Moriyama, the director of the anime, has illustrated a visual for the second season.

The teaser visual has a red backdrop on which the words “Nomad of Nowhere” are written. Nomad is wearing full gear on a body covered with scars.

The second season of the anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and BS11. The cast members of the previous season will reprise their roles.

Crunchyroll had simul-streamed the first season as it aired in April 2018. Viz Media licenses the anime.

The Megalo Box manga series was published by Kodansha from February to August 2018. With 13 episodes, the first season of the anime had made quite a name for itself.

Chikara Sakuma launched a manga adaptation of the Megalo Box anime titled: ‘Megalo Box – Shukumei no Shoken’, it was serialized in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge from February 2018 to August 2018 with a total of 2 volumes.

TMS Entertainment, with the help of 3xCube, developed the original anime series ‘Megalo Box,’ which was heavily inspired by ‘Ashita no Joe.’ The first episode aired on April 6, 2018.
