The official English title of Mercenary Enrollment as per the official Webtoon app is Teenage Mercenary, which clearly brings out the plot of the story – a teenager who is also a mercenary.

The story revolves around a teenager named Yu Ijin who meets with his sister, Yu Dahyun, and his grandfather after many years and goes to attend high school. He meets his classmates and gradually adjusts to the new school.

But things turn astray as one day Ijin comes to know that his sister was getting bullied. As matters turn worse with the bullies, he loses no fight and teaches them all a lesson.

With Ijin fighting gang members, top-rated criminals, and high-school bullies, everyone around him is left to wonder, who is this high schooler who seems to be so skilled in fighting?

Well, he definitely has a tragic past hidden behind. He was trained as a mercenary at a young age at a camp when he lost his parents after a plane crash. Having the codename 001, he was the most feared among all the mercenaries.

Somehow leaving his days as a mercenary behind, he now enjoys a happy life surrounded by his family and friends. Sometimes suffering from PTSD while having nightmares, he slowly comes to understand the emotions of love and the power of attachments.
