It was already announced that the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie will be rescheduled to May 7th, 2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. But, with a release date much later than the one planned in 2020, fans were starting to grow impatient.
To calm the atmosphere, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway treated fans by releasing an English subbed trailer so that international fans don’t feel left out of the Gundam Hathaway goodness.
The trailer features the protagonist for the anime movie Noa Hathaway, leader of Mafty and showcases some new scenes from the upcoming movie.
We finally learn that Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway will focus on the fight between an anti-Earth federation organization named Mafty and government’s own earth federation.
The original Mobile Suit “Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash” novel series has its character illustrations by Haruhiko Mikimoto. The novel series also featured mechanical designs by Yasuhiro Moriki.
The Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway movie will be based on Yoshiyuki Tomino’s novel series “Senkō no Hathaway”. Set in the year UC0105, the story will center on Hathaway Noa, the son of the influential Federation ship captain Bright Noa.
