‘Raven of the Inner Palace’ English-Dub to Premiere Tomorrow
No one knows how the concubine Shouxue looks, yet everyone still fears her. Some have seen her as an older woman and some as a young one, but no one knows the truth behind the mysterious Raven of the Inner Palace.
The anime came out as soon as the month began and was filled with mystery, magic, history, and hints of romance.
Now that three episodes of the ‘Raven of the Inner Palace’ anime are out, Crunchyroll has decided to stream its English-dubbed version. The dub episodes will premiere tomorrow, October 22, 2022.

A brilliant anime like this deserves an equally talented cast, and Crunchyroll understood that assignment well. I can’t imagine how well all these actors will work and sound in the anime.
For those who are not familiar with the story, let me give you a quick summary.
Liu Shouxue is a special concubine called the Raven Consort who lives deep within the palace. No one has seen her true face as some describe her as an elderly woman, while others have called her a young girl.
However, that’s not the only thing mysterious about Shouxue, as she also has some magical powers. She can take up any kind of request, from finding lost items to inflicting death curses.
After being informed of this, the emperor Xia Gaojun pays Shouxue a purposeful visit. Gaojun intends to find evidence to prosecute Empress Dowager, the one responsible for his mother’s death, and only Shouxue can help him.
What no one knew was that the pair’s encounter would become a taboo that would overturn history.

There’s not much we know about the plot yet, like what exactly are Shouxue’s powers, how she became the Raven Consort, and more.
I think this mystery is what gives the anime its intriguing charm, and I’m all here for it.
About Raven of the Inner Palace
Raven of the Inner Palace is a novel series by Koko Shirakawa, and it was launched in 2018. The novel’s final volume was shipped in 2021. It will also receive an anime.
The story focuses on Josetsu, a royal consort who has never been summoned to the king’s bed-chamber. No one knows what she looks like, and she has mystic powers.
One day, the king seeks her out to find the owner of a cursed earring. Their meeting will change the history of their kingdom.
