Sailor Moon’s New Film Brings the Sailor Starlights to Earth!

Sailor Moon, a popular Japanese shojo anime based on a manga by Naoko Takeuchi from the early 1990s, is a name that needs no introduction. Sailor Moon is still a popular anime, and its followers are among the most dedicated in the world.

As the “fifth and final season” of the Sailor Moon Crystal anime series, the planned Japanese two-part animated action fantasy film Sailor Moon Cosmos is based on the Stars arc of the Sailor Moon manga and is a direct successor to Sailor Moon Eternal (2021).

A promotional video for the two-part anime film Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie has started streaming on the official Sailor Moon franchise channel on YouTube. The Three Lights/Sailor Starlights are featured prominently in this video. Part one of the film will hit theaters on June 9, 2023, with Part two following on June 30, 2023.

As a boy band by day, Sailor Starlights makes women swoon, and as heroes by night, they vanquish evil. The Sailor Starlights’ voice actors were revealed in January.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos: Part 1

The two-part anime film Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos is adapted from Naoko Takeuchi’s Sailor Moon manga. It picks up after the reboot Sailor Moon Crystal and wraps up the series with the Stars or Shadow Galactica arc.

During this arc, the Sailor Guardians team up with Sailor Starlights and discover that Sailor Galaxia’s Shadow Galactica is plotting to expand her abilities in order to take control of the Milky Way.
