Studio Mappa’s Upcoming Original Anime In October

Founded in 2011, MAPPA is an animation studio of relatively new origin, but it has already set a name for itself.

What sets MAPPA apart from the typical studios is the way it seeks to achieve greater creative freedom.

Although MAPPA has animated some popular titles, at the same time, it is not fixed with them and attempts to rather animate unconventional works.

Who doesn’t know about Yuri! On Ice? the famous original work of MAPPA which brought the studio into the international limelight?!

TV Asahi announced in a post that an original MAPPA anime will be broadcast on their NUMAnimation block on 3rd October. The upcoming anime is still untitled, and the cover on it hasn’t risen yet.

The only detail we know is that Kensho Ono (Tanaka-kun is Always Listless as Tanaka) is involved as one of the main cast in the anime.

Further information on the untitled anime will be revealed on the Seiyu to Yoasobi program, which will air on Thursday.

Kensho Ono has already worked in MAPPA’s anime; he played Phichit Chulanont in Yuri!!! On Ice and Pochi Yamada in Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?

Attack on Titan Season 4: New Trailer & Visual, MAPPA Confirmed

MAPPA studio’s hands are full this year due to the high priority anime that is being animated.

It has already animated the God of High School which was released on 6th July 2020. Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season are on the upcoming list of anime from MAPPA.

Masao Maruyama is the former producer of studio Madhouse and the founder of MAPPA.

The animation style of the studio is fluid, and the studio is not afraid of adapting series, which may not have as high returns as other popular series.

It doesn’t shy away from complex anime series like Banana Fish, and that is now its strength.
