Takehiko Inoue Helms the Direction And Script of 2022 Slam Dunk Movie Himself

Fans have been waiting for a sequel to the Slam Dunk anime for more than two decades. Finally, it looks like the series’ continuation is not a distant dream but a close at hand reality.

Takehiko Inoue’s last announcement about the movie in January riled up the entire fandom of Slam Dunk.

This classic series knows just how to give you an adrenaline rush, and I’ve been craving it ever since I finished the manga. I’m glad to know that my wish will be granted soon.

The upcoming Slam Dunk movie will premiere in Fall 2022, and a brand new teaser has been posted for it.

Although nothing about the plot has been revealed in the teaser, it opens with fast-paced music that is suitable for the anime. It also shows the crouched forms of the Shohoku basketball team.

Inoue is determined to make sure that everything in the upcoming movie is the best that can be delivered. Thus, Takehiko Inoue is both directing and writing the film’s script.

The staff member selection suggests that the film will also be using CG animation to make itself even more lifelike for the viewers.

I am sure everyone has been missing Sakuragi’s rebounds and powerful slam dunks, but don’t worry, because the wait will be over soon.
