The Demon Girl Next Door Season 2 Announced!

The official website for the television anime of Izumo Ito’s The Demon Girl Next Door manga confirmed that season two is on the way. TBS revealed a promotional video and visual for the announcement.

Hiroaki Sakurai directed the anime at J.C. Staff, and Keiichiro Oochi supervised the series’ scripts.

This slice of life anime continues to spread its magic in our hearts with this trailer, and the beautiful animation made us eager for season two even more!

Season one followed a high school girl Yuko Yoshida as she realises her real demon powers.

Now known as Shadow Mistress Yuko (or “Shamiko”), she must restore her demon clan’s honor by defeating Momo, the local magical girl.

Season two will begin where the first left off, with Shamiko and Momo joining forces to track down a certain missing magical girl.

The manga launched in Manga Time Kirara Carat in September 2014.

Houbunsha published the fifth compiled volume in June 2019. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and will release the first volume in January 2021.

Season one aired from July to September 2019. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime and streamed it on HIDIVE as it aired in Japan.

HIDIVE also began streaming an English dub for the anime on Thursday.

In anticipation of the second series, ABEMA and Nico Nico will host the first season’s marathon streams. ABEMA’s will take place on September 5, with Nico Nico’s airing on September 13.
