A Happy Ending for the Tokyo Revengers Manga

The Tokyo Revengers manga has finally come to a fitting conclusion.

Takemichi and Mikey have disbanded the Toman to eradicate the culture of delinquency, saved everyone, and stopped everything that could have gone wrong.

We observed a wedding in chapter 277 and assumed Takemichi was the groom, which was confirmed in the conclusion.

Takemichi and Hina’s eagerly anticipated nuptials, which included all the characters, marked the conclusion of the Tokyo Revengers manga. On January 17, 2023, Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine will release volume 31, which contains the final chapter 278 that was serialized in issue 51.

In the opening scene of the finale, Takemichi is getting ready for the wedding while Mikey is present, acknowledging that the pair’s wild days are behind them. The two have come a long way, and this conversation shows that it’s time for them to mature and find a partner.

Chifuyu enters the scene and, one by one, starts telling what everyone is doing now. Mikey races motorcycles professionally, Draken works as his mechanic, and Kisaki and Kokonoi fund the team.

Others have chosen their own paths, are living happy lives, doing what they love. Everyone is at their happiest, but only Takemichi doesn’t take this joy for granted, according to Chifuyu.

Chifuyu recalls how much Takemichi has suffered but never let the failures bring him down. When Takemichi and Hina kiss, he continues to sob uncontrollably because the crybaby hero has also finally realized his dream.

All we can now do is hope that Ken Wakui will accept that situation and focus on something else that is unrelated.

However, that is impossible because Wakui has already begun developing spinoffs and other projects. Much to the dismay of his fans, the mangaka is determined to extend the plot as far as he can.

To be completely honest, I’m against a sequel because ruining a happy and alive ending will only enrage fans. The good news is that Wakui has revealed his plans for a prequel spinoff and a special arc, so we won’t be getting a sequel anyhow.

Fans have been waiting for this happy conclusion for a very long time. It’s like a dream come true that Takemichi was able to save Hina, Baji, Draken, Mikey, and everyone else.

All those flaws and terrible plot points that Wakui provided us with are made up for in the conclusion. The new anime is all that’s left, and I hope they improve the plot.
