Trigun’s Background

Yasuhiro Nightow wrote and illustrated the manga series Trigun.

Tokuma Shoten’s magazine Monthly Shonen Captain serialized Trigun. Madhouse turned it into a twenty-six episode anime television series, which aired between April and September 1998.

It follows the exploits of Vash the Stampede, who has a 60 billion USD reward on his head. He is joined by two insurance brokers, Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson, who help to mitigate the unavoidable consequences of his appearance.
