Vermeil In Gold Episode 9: What Will Happen Next?

In this week’s episode, “Divine Mage,” students around the globe prepare for the exam. But unbeknownst that, Demon Master-kun is also there. He kills people around there and destroys the property. So the lieutenant of the Royal Army, McKenza order him to surrender for violating the rules. But instead of surrendering, he summons his golem to destroy everything. The students panicked as they poured their mana into the crystal ball, which was now in Demon Master-Kun’s possession.

Meanwhile, Vermeil is waiting for Alto outside the academy. But soon she hears the explosion sound and reaches the place. Demon Master-Kun has already taken down most of the people in the academy. However, he seems curious about Vermeil’s look. Soon she charges an attack but isn’t strong enough to deal with Demon Master-Kun. He takes her in his possession, engraving Alto, and commands him to free her. Everyone seems surprised when he uses Argent magic to save Vermeil. Demon Master-Kun wants to destroy the world, and he needs Vermeil’s power for this. But Alto challenges Demon Master-Kun in a fight to protect Vermeil.

Previously in Vermeil In Gold Episode 8, despite Alto being suspicious of Elena’s motives, he accepted her offer, making Marx, Lilia, and Cheryl proud. Vermeil later warned him that Elena might not be a human. The two then attended a council meeting but ran into Elena, Jessica, and Chris changing clothes. While Jessica freaked out, Chris and Elena remained calm and said it was their fault for not closing the door properly. After this incident, Elena brought a creature’s piece with whom she fought and found the magic they hadn’t seen before.

Meanwhile, Heliodor and Iolite met the creature’s master, Kohakumiya. Iolite angered her by informing her about her creature’s death. Then both left to target Vermeil and Alto. As for Alto, he dreamt of baby Vermeil crying in a ruined city. Then a woman gave him a choice of helping Vermeil and bringing destruction or helping humanity and bringing salvation. He woke up nervously. So Vermeil kissed him to boost him up. Students around the globe appeared for the exam, and the professor handed them a crystal ball and asked them to pour their mana into the flame to strengthen the ball.
