Blue Lock Episode 17  “Donkey”  Recap:

Isagi is amazed at the red team’s coordination. With their teamwork, they can surpass geniuses like Nagi and Barou. Isagi analyses all the possible ways of scoring a goal, but Barou’s self-centered nature renders all the paths useless.

In a team with clashing personalities, Isagi needs to take the lead. Barou is hellbent on playing the game on his terms.

Nagi displays excellent skills as he handles the ball with ease. Everyone, especially Reo, is amazed at how much he has improved since their last match. Isagi tries to convince Barou to play with the team but soon realizes that his attempts are futile. It is up to Nagi and Isagi to win the match.

Team Red is ahead with a score of 3-1. At this point, Isagi wonders why he is so hung up on Barou. He realizes that he has no choice but to give up on Barou and take in his abilities to win this match.

Isagi gets in form. He makes use of Barou to divert the other teammates and scores a goal. This shocked everyone, with quickly he adapted to the field and planned everything. He understands that the best way to change the world is to change himself and that’s exactly what he did.

Isagi warns Barou not to get in their way, which angers him. By this time, Isagi can predict everyone’s moves in advance, which fetches his team another point. Now the score is equal at 3-3.

The field is totally dominated by Nagi and Isagi. Chigiri feels motivated now more than ever. He thinks about Nagi’s comments on his play and works out a way to overcome his weakness.

He comes up with his ultimate speed technique, using which he scores a goal. The geniuses on the field are hyped and cannot wait to take on this challenge. The episode ends with a score of 4-3 in the match between team red and team white.
