Ao Ashi Anime

Recently, another soccer series called Blue Lock is gaining an immense amount of fame, owing to its sharp story and highly compelling artwork.

In the midst of other series like Giant Killing and Hungry Heart Wild Striker, we have this little manga named Ao Ashi. Despite being somewhat unknown internationally, this manga has already earned nominations for the prestigious Manga Taisho awards.

Fun fact, since the series quite accurately portrays the Japanese football scene, it is used as promotional material for the Japanese Football Association Under 18 Premier League!

Ao Ashi Anime Release Date Announcement:

In May, a chapter end stated that the writers have some good news for us and it will be released in the next issue. Lo and Behold, at the end of May, Shougakugan announced the arrival of the anime.

The television adaptation of Ao Ashi anime is set to be air in April 2022, the same time as Dragon Ball Super Season 2.

Since it is still in the early stages, not much information has been leaked. It will probably be a seasonal series but we know that it has enough material to support a long-running show as well.

The writers knew about the anime adaptation from last year but they were not allowed to reveal it.

This means that the anime is currently being developed. We are constantly looking out for more news. The official Twitter account will keep releasing more info as it is released.

In the meantime, you might want to check out Ao Ashi Brotherfoot; it is a spin-off focusing on Ashito’s Brother.

As of now, the Studio, director, animators, OP, ED, Cast, and so on have not been released. We are sure that they will be revealed slowly throughout 2021. We will keep updating you about it.

Ao Ashi Season 1 Anime Details:

There is a high probability that Ao Ashi Anime will be around 50 episodes, just like other series like Hungry Heart Wild Striker and more recently, Ahiru no Sora.

We say this because Ao Ashi has a huge twist. So in the beginning, we will get a nice flow that will start to solidify, and then, suddenly, we will get a massive development that will completely turn it around.

We believe that the anime should include that twist because it is the essence of the series. The heart of the manga lies in the fact that it encompasses all.

It doesn’t focus on attacking and it doesn’t show us club politics. It focuses on completely football – the fullbacks, the defenders, the midfielders, and the strikers.

One of the key aspects of this series is the fact that it doesn’t show school football. The high school sports club trope is overused and Ao Ashi manages to provide us something fresh – J League.

It is realistic in its portrayal of Japanese youth football and how to go pro in that scenario.

About the cast, there will be a lot of male actors. It is a men’s football series with plenty of supporting male characters. Plus, there are a handful of women who are unique in writing.

Hopefully, the voice of Fukuda won’t be too heavy and old, because despite being a coach, he is quite young.

Ao Ashi Storyline:

Ao Ashi is a thoroughly entertaining sports series that focuses on Aoi Ashito. A boy from suburban Japan, his talent is recognized by Fukuda. The latter is an ex-pro footballer who was famous internationally.

Now, he trains the Japanese youth in a youth club named Esperion and invites Ashito to the tryouts.

Ashito, who was one of the best in his regions is shocked by the skill level of the players gathered in Tokyo. He realizes that his battle is an uphill one.

Ashito decides to practice more than everyone there in order to catch up to their skill level. Little does he know that he has one special weapon that will help him revolutionize the sport!
