Cult Classic ‘Spriggan’ Trailer Reveals a 6-Episode Anime

Imagine archeologists, but instead of nerds, they’re badass people with high-tech gear who protect ancient relics. That’s precisely what Spriggan is about.

The anime breaks the stereotype of boring artifacts and instead shows them in a new light as being powerful weapons that can bring chaos if in the wrong hands. Being a cult classic, Spriggan brought about a revolution in the action manga genre.

Netflix has revived the Spriggan franchise with its upcoming ONA premiering on June 18, 2022. The company has revealed two trailers in Japanese and English for the anime.

It will have six episodes of 45-minute each, which only means more action-packed scenes are waiting for us. The trailer also previews the anime’s opening theme song, “Seeking the Truth feat. YAHZARAH,” by Taisei Iwasaki.

As the trailer starts, the series’s protagonist Yu Ominae is shown reciting a warning left by an old advanced civilization. It is explained how elite fighters called Spriggans exist to protect relics and tools of such civilizations from falling into the wrong hands.

The trailer also previews some fantastic and eccentric characters, and the franchise has also revealed the cast members for them:
