Seven Seas Licenses MXTX’s Big Three Novels as Preorder Records Shatter!

Almost every danmei fan is trapped in the genre after reading one of MXTX’s (Mo Xiang Tong Xiu) novels. Mo Dao Zu Shi, Tian Guan Ci Fu, and The Scum Villain’s Self Saving System are the undebatable bosses of the Chinese BL Novel world. 

Due to MXTX’s genius, these novels have conquered the world even without official translations. Thus, you can imagine how much official translations will blow up.

Seven Seas was NOT prepared for all the attention it got after they announced three novels by MXTX are getting official English translations. Do I even need to say which three? 

However, the more joyful news is that Seven Seas is actually absorbing fan translations of the series and using them in the publishing procedure. This is a noble move as these fan translations are just as accurate as they can get and now the efforts are being justly rewarded.

Each novel is divided into several volumes that will be published within 2023. Volume 1 of all three series will be released in December 2021.

So, without further ado, let’s dive into the details of all three novels!

• Scum Villain’s Self Saving System: With the most hilarious plot ever, SVSSS is ready to be published with four volumes in total. 

• Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation: Finally, we’ll get to read Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji’s epic love story in a polished book form! (Who else is looking forward to the extra chapters?) With 5 volumes, the book is already the king of all pre-orders.

• Heaven Official’s Blessing: 800 years of pining will be condensed into 8 volumes as TGCF prepares for its official English release. I can’t wait to read it again, and this time with better emphasis on Hua Cheng’s puppy-eyed, “Gege!”

Of course, it didn’t take long before danmei fans found out about the great news and it became a piece of trending news within a few hours. Pre-order numbers have hit an all-time high as all three novels have ranked #1 out of all the Barnes and Nobles bestsellers. 

The books are available for purchase only in North America and Canada for now. This has made fans who live in other countries feel downcast. 

However, danmei fans have shown their kindheartedness and unity as many accounts have started doing free giveaways for fans who are either not on the distribution radar or unfortunate enough to not be able to buy a copy.
