After a serious arc meeting its end, the recent episode was more on the heartfelt side to provide relief to the audience. Spy x Family Episode 17 goes back to the world of missions and tasks surrounding the Forger family.
The recent episode was nicely divided into two different parts. The first part consisted of Yor’s screen time where she was learning how to cook for the family and the second included Franky who wants to talk to his crush.
It was refreshing to see all the serious characters live a normal life without the usual worries of the day, like of course Franky almost staking on his crush and so on.
Even Yuri was brought into this episode to bring more interaction between Yor and Yuri and their relationship as siblings. This was the first appearance of Yuri in the second cour of the series.
Moving on, it was fun to see Loid and Anya have a moment in their lives when they tasted Yor’s wonderful cooking skills. Surely, it’s a wholesome thought but Yor’s cooking skills make it seem like a horror genre.
All characters have been seen to interact and form certain interactions which are different from the serious ones. Chamilia was also a good addition to this episode.
What comes next after the wholesome interaction between these characters? Spy x Family Episode 17 will slowly get into another arc which will continue for a few episodes.

Dubbed version of the Spy x Family second cour has started on October 18, 2022, on Crunchyroll. Dubbed episodes are released a day after the new episode airs at 4:30 AM JST.
Spy x Family Part 1 was dubbed in German and French along with English therefore the same can be expected for Part 2 of the anime as well.
Spy x Family Episode 16 Recap
Starting off with Yor’s unusual behavior of coming home late at night, Anya reads Bond’s mind where she sees Yor crying in the future.
Loud notices scratch marks on her marks and it eventually reveals that she had been taking cooking classes with Camilia. She wanted to cook for Loid and Anya.
Yor didn’t expect Dominic to call Yuri to taste her cooking. She tells Yuri to keep her cooking classes a secret and follows Camilia’s orders to make a dish.
Yor ends up cooking a weird and creepy-looking dish that Yuri is made to taste. Yuri almost spits out the food the moment he ate it, however, he still said that it tasted well.
Next, Camilia and Dominic taste the food but they almost had no words for her cooking. Camilia switches her plan and asks Yor to make something that her mom used to make. Yor decides to make Stew Egg for her family.
Camilia helps Yor prepare the dish and this time it was done well. Yuri tasted it and still found something missing in its taste. It was a regional special cream from Yor and Yuri’s hometown which was missing, Camilia added it and it tasted great.
After her success, she prepared the same dish for Loid and Anya at home. Loid and Anya couldn’t believe that it actually tasted good, it was out of their expectations. Loud was finally happy that she could count on her for cooking from now on.
After the praises, she presented them with an original dessert recipe, which didn’t taste good. They were back to square one and Loid and Anya fell dead on the ground.
Franky has a new crush and her name is Monica McBride. He needs help to talk to her and asks Loid for help. As everything that Loid planned, didn’t work for Franky, he disguised as a girl to help Franky in conversing with the girl.
Later Forger family went out on a walk and noticed Franky walking. Loid asked about his date but as he didn’t respond well, Loid offers him an expensive drink to make him talk.
Spy x Family Episode 17 Spoilers
Spy x Family Part 2 Episode 5 is titled “Carry Out the Griffin Plan Fullmetal Lady Omelet Rice” which breaks into two parts – Fullmetal Lady and Omelet Rice.
With the recent episode featuring two short parts of a story shown one after another, the same logic seems to apply in Spy x Family Episode 17 too.
With the preview of Episode 17 out, Fullmetal Lady will likely have connections to Damian and Anya. Omelet Rice probably refers to another attempt of Yor’s cooking.
There’s great hype for Spy x Family Episode 17 as viewers wait for another hilarious interaction between Anya and Damian. Also, the plot will likely start flowing in its next direction with this episode.
